Here’s the short and sweet answer: in most cases, the answer is no.
Why Filming Is Generally Not Allowed
Most of our space partners—the folks who own or manage offices—don’t allow filming for a couple of key reasons. First, there are privacy concerns. Other people might be working nearby, and they haven’t signed up to be extras in someone else’s video. Second, filming can be disruptive. Even if you’ve got a small crew, the process of setting up cameras, lights, and recording can create noise and interruptions that other tenants just might not appreciate.
How to Get Permission if You Want to Film
That said, we understand that sometimes filming is essential. Maybe you need a quick video snippet for a presentation or a promotional clip. In that case, the best practice is to use the “Message Host” button you’ll find on every space profile in LiquidSpace. Just reach out to the host before you book, and let them know exactly what you have in mind. Explain what you want to film, how many people will be involved, what kind of equipment you’ll bring, and how long it should take.
Avoiding Non-Refundable Situations
If you skip reaching out and just show up with a film crew, there’s a good chance you’ll be turned away. And in that case, unfortunately, your reservation cost is non-refundable. The venue host has the final say on what’s allowed in their space, and they’re fully within their rights to decline activities that weren’t pre-approved.
Final Tip
In short, communication is key. If you need to film, just ask first, and you’ll save everyone—including yourself—a lot of hassle.
