Booking windows allow you to set limits to how much notice is required before a guest can book a reservation.
- Can require a minimum number of hours/days notice required before someone can book your space
- Can limit the number of days into the future that a guest can book your space
All Booking Windows are created in Section 3 of the Hours tab in your Venue Manager. Click the blue pencil beside an exception to edit or click Add Booking Window for a new rule.
Choose the right settings for your booking window:
Enter the number of hours or days notice you require. A typical min notice would be 1-2 hours.
Enter the maximum number of days to show as available for booking on your calendar. When used, a typical max notice would allow between 60-90 days maximum notice.
Note: Neither field is required. You can set up your booking window with only a min or max.
Booking Windows allow you to limit your changes to specific workspaces, if applicable. Choose the specific workspaces to which your booking window should apply.
Example: Your Board Room requires extra set up time, but your Coworking area can accommodate last-minute bookings. Set up a 2-hour min notice window for your Board Room only.
Booking Windows allow you to limit your changes to specific groups or people (Visas). Choose the specific people groups to which your booking window should apply.
Example: You don’t require advance notice from your contracted members, but you do for LiquidSpace guests. Set up a 2-hour min notice window for your LiquidSpace Credit Card Billed guests only.
Press “Save” to add it to your grid.
Once added to the grid, your booking window is saved and will be reflected on your calendar immediately.
Note: Booking windows are optional. It is recommended that you only use booking windows for specific spaces that require notice. Guest are looking to book space right away or a number of weeks/months in advance and you don’t want to overly limit your displayed availability.
